day two of diraj & tas’s wedding began with a few portraits, which is pretty fabulously unconventional, like them. it was really important to tas to have lots of time for photos, and since she made such a priority when doing her scheduling, we were able to create some really fantastic images.
the architecture of their mosque was absolutely, overwhelmingly beautiful. i’m not kidding when i say i could have spent two hours shooting in the courtyard alone.
diraj, waiting for the ceremony to begin…
it was truly one of the most moving ceremonies i’ve been to — my favourite part being when a man sung in arabic. tas looked so beautiful and serene during the ceremony…
then, off to the airport for a few more photos…
this was, hands-down, the most-fun reception i’ve ever been to. i love it when everyone dances at a reception, and diraj & tas’s friends do NOT disappoint…
favourite part of the reception…
…part three coming soon!

The shot of her legs under the stall door in the bathroom… that’s… unconventional :> Nice work :>
kristel! i’m sorry i haven’t been around in a while. i’m so glad i came by! i have to say these are absolutely phenomenal!! seriously… i’m almost breathless. the shot of her henna’ed legs under the bathroom door – brilliant! the t/s portrait under the white blossoms – gives me chills. the portrait where she’s lying in his lap under the grass, looking right at the camera – hot! please submit this wedding somewhere!
the mehndi party pics, too, totally out of this world. you are such an inspiration! i wish i could shoot with you! i’m going to come back to this post for ideas in the future… hope you don’t mind!!
love this set! especially love the one of the bride with her head in the groom’s lap looking up!
Gorgeous. You always make the posing so effortless and comfortable for the couple and it shows through in the photos. (Absolutely love the one of her on his lap looking up).
Kritel- Please send me a new wireless keyboard. Your pictures have caused so much Drool that my board is now shot. For real!
I have so many favorites! One is the last image of the lady in the black dress getting her groove on in a sea of darkness.
Another favorite form this posting is the one of them sitting on bench and a man on the phone. It’s awesome two completely unrelated events pictured nicely in one frame. Love it!!
Can’t wait to see the next part!!!
So completely gorgeous, Kristel. Can’t wait till part 3!
portrait right before the reception is absolutely stunning!
This wedding is amazing. Glad I found you on daily love juice.
